RULES

All players must ..

1) Have an account on the the mafia discussion board, with the same account name as on this board.

2) Log in and view the thread and the discussion board anonymously at all times, unless they have informed the mods that this is not possible for technical reasons

3) Post at least once every 24 hours. Any player who has not posted within the last 24 hours will be automatically modkilled, whether or not the mods announce this on the thread. There will be no exceptions.

4) Send in role prescribed night actions (including the desire to take no action) within the time limit

5) Treat everybody else playing with courtesy and respect

6) Make any edits the mods request of them as soon as possible, whether or not they believe that the posts need to be edited.

7) Contact the game mods as soon as possible if they feel they are at risk of breaking a rule or fear they or another person may have already done so.

Players must not ...

1) Act in any way intended to reduce the chance of their faction achieving its win conditions. (However, should all surviving members of a faction agree that they wish to resign and end the game early, they may do so by PMing the mods privately, without stating their intentions on-thread until the mods post to announce that the game is over.)

2) Discuss the game with any other living players outside this game thread except when told they may do so in their role PMs.

3) Reveal any information about the game at all in any other thread than this one, or in any other forum (including message boards and chat rooms) where it may be seen by a living player.

4) Give anybody access to any of their accounts (including game alts, if the game is using them), either here or on the mafia discussion board.

5) Attempt to obtain advice about the game from anybody not currently playing.

6) Post information on the thread relating to another player's past or current activity on (or absence from) the board that would not otherwise be available to anybody reading the thread.

7) Quote, in whole or part, PMs from (or other private conversations with) the mods on the thread, or discuss the timing of any PMs sent to the mods.

8) Post on the thread at any time after they are dead until the mods themselves post on the thread to announce that the game is over. Any posts accidently made after death should be immediately edited blank.

9) Make any bets about the game.

10) Offer to break any of these rules or any other rules the mods have set in place for the game, encourage others to do so or help to conceal the fact that rules have been broken.

AND JUST SO YOU KNOW

1) Failure to comply with the rules may result in any punishment the mods deem appropriate, including, but not limited to: a request to edit posts; formal warnings on thread; "modkilling", and ending the game prematurely in favor of one faction or none. The mods will also report rule infractions to the metamods after the game. Except where clearly stated in the rules, the mods are free to respond to any rules violation in whatever manner they wish. In all cases the mods' decision on these matters is final.

2) Feel free to PM or IM your thoughts (or questions) to the mods. We love to hear them!

3) The mods reserve the right to amend the rules during the game if we realize we've forgotten to cover something.

-------------------------

As well as running the game on this thread, the mods are also responsible for administering the spoiler thread on the discussion board. Anybody not actively involved in the game (whether spectators or dead players) can request access to this thread by PMing the mods. Please not that while in general the mods will be happy to let anybody have access to this thread, they do reserve the right to refuse access to anybody for any reason. Accordingly, please do not ask anybody other than the mods for access to the spoiler thread or give yourself access to it, even if you have the power to do so.

Once given access to the thread, spoiled spectators should also take note of the following rules, and must not ...

1) Share any information from the spoiler thread with living players, or post such in a forum where it may be seen by living players.

2) Offer any advice, hints or strategy to living players.

3) Make personal attacks

4) Post on the game thread before the mods announce that the game is over.

Spectators (of any sort) who ignore these rules are likely to have their access to the spoiler thread revoked and/or to be reported to the metamods.
House Targaryen
ALT RULES

In this game all the players will be using alts.

1) Players must not post in any thread other than the game thread using their game alt. Any posts accidently made in another thread should be edited blank as soon as possible.

2) Players must not change the password to their game alt that the mods picked for them.

When posting in the game thread, all active players must take care not to:

1) Post using any account other than their game alt. Any posts made 'out of alt' must be edited blank, and players must not make any comment on their contents in the game thread.

2) Deliberately reveal any information relating to the identity behind the alt of any player (living or dead) or to any aspect of their identity (including their geographic location and their level of experience in playing mafia).

3) Speculate about the identity behind the alt of any player (living or dead) or on any aspect of their identity (including their geographic location and their level of experience in playing mafia).

4) Claim or hint at having any knowledge of, or having made any assumptions about, the identity behind the alt of any other player (living or dead)..

The mods reserve the right to edit any posts that do not comply with these rules, and may take further action if they feel it necessary.

In addition, all players and spectators should obey the following rules, and must not:

1) Either confirm or deny if they are playing in the game if this information may be seen by living players.

2) Speculate about, or reveal any information relating to, the identity behind the game alt of any player (living or dead) where this speculation or information may be seen or heard by living players.

(If you've played before, you probably don't need to read this section. If you have any questions, PM House Targaryen.)

Game Mechanics

1 - General Structure
Players may begin posting as soon as the mods announce that the game has started on the thread. The game begins during the day. The day ends when when a sufficient number of people have voted to lynch a player (remove that player from the game) or voted to end the day without a lynch. Many games also have time limits on the days, and if no consensus is reached when the time expires, the day ends with no lynch. When the day phase has ended, night begins. The mods will then post a scene reporting the outcome of the day. Players may continue posting in the thread but no voting is allowed. Night ends when the mods post the morning scene reporting the outcome of the night actions. Day and night phases continue to alternate until the game ends.

2 - Day Phase
During the day, players may post in the thread and vote. Some roles may have special powers which can be used during the day.

2.1 - Voting Mechanics
To vote for a player: bold that player's name.
To vote to end the day without a lynch: bold the word night.
To change your vote: bold the other player's name (or bold night).
To remove your vote without casting a new vote: bold the phrase remove vote.

2.2 - Voting Restrictions
You may only vote during the day phase. You can only have one vote outstanding at any time. You may not vote for yourself. You may not edit a vote into a post. You may not edit a vote out of a post.

2.3 - Bold Restrictions
The use of bold should be limited to voting. If you want to emphasize a players name or another word, you can underline the word or post using a different color

2.4 - Majority Defined
A majority means either more than half of the active players voting for one player's lynch or half or more of the active players voting to go to night without a lynch.

2.5 - Ending the Day
The day ends as soon as a majority is reached (or, if the game has a day time limit and the players fail to achieve a majority, once the time limit has elapsed). Anyone lynched is no longer an active player and must not post in the thread. Votes can no longer be withdrawn and new votes cannot be cast until the night phase ends.

2.6 - Evening Scene
The mods will post a scene shortly after the day ends to report the results of the day actions. If the day ended with a player's lynch, the mods might also reveal information about the lynched player, such as the player’s alt or alignment. This is the mods’ choice, and they’ll explain what, if any, information will be revealed in the game rules. There are no hidden clues in the evening scenes.

3 - Night Phase

During the night, players may post in the thread but may not vote. Some players will have the ability to perform special actions. Once again, the mods decide which roles will be included for their game, so be sure to fully read the game rules and any role descriptions which may be included.

3.1 - Performing a Night Action
If your role includes the ability to perform a special action at night, you need to PM the mods to indicate the action you wish to take. Most, if not all, roles have the ability to "withhold" their powers (i.e. take no action). This will be made clear to the roled players, and, usually, to all other players as well. If you chose to not perform your allowed action, you must PM "no action" to the mods. Most games have a time limit on nights. All players must PM their night actions to the mods within this timeframe. Players are strongly encouraged to send their night actions as soon as possible. You may also send in a PM for your special action during the day phase.

3.2 - Contingent PM
If you send in a PM during the day phase, you may choose to list alternative actions contingent on the manner in which the day ended. If none of the contingencies you list actually occur, your PM will be disregarded, and you must send a new PM to the mods.

3.3 - Provisional PM
You may choose to send a provisional PM if you want to further consider your night action but do not want to extend the night if all other roled players have decided upon their actions. Provisional PMs must be clearly marked as such. A provisional PM will not be acted upon by the mods until it becomes a 'definite PM.' A provisional PM becomes definite as soon as ( a ) you confirm your choice with another PM, ( b ) all other roled players that need to send night actions have done so, or ( c ) the time limit for the night has expired.

As a courtesy to other players we ask that you confirm your provisional PM as soon as you are able.

3.4 - Last Resort PM
In extraordinary circumstances you may be allowed to send in a last resort PM. A last resort PM will not be acted upon by the mods until ( a ) you confirm your choice with another PM or ( b ) the time limit for the night has expired. Should you need to send a last resort PM, you must first seek the mods approval by explaining the circumstances that necessitate such a PM. Last resort PMs are accepted only at the discretion of the mods.

3.5 - Failure to PM
If not all PMs are received within the time limit, everyone who has failed to send in a PM will be considered to have taken no action. In addition, those who failed to send in a PM will be warned by the mods or may risk further penalties.

3.6 - Changing a Night Action
PMs to the mod can be changed at any point before the new day is announced. A PM is considered to be changed only after the mod receives and has read the PM. The player bears the risk that the mod will post the morning scene after the player has sent in a new PM but before the mod has actually read it.

3.7 - Abusing the Time Limit
If the mods have included a night time limit, it begins as soon as the previous day ended, regardless of when the mods posted the evening scene. However, this time limit is a maximum limit, and all players should send in PMs as soon as they feel comfortable doing so. Players (and mods) prefer shorter nights, as people are anxious to see who may have died and to begin voting again. If the mods feel that a player is abusing the time limit by unreasonably stalling, they may force the player to take no night action or take other appropriate action.

3.8 Preventing Night Actions
Except where expressly noted, no night actions prevent any other night actions sent in from taking effect.

3.9 - Morning Scene
The night phase ends when the mods post the morning scene. The mods will post the scene shortly after all night action PMs have been received. The scene will report any player deaths that occurred during the night, and might also reveal information about the lynched player, such as the player’s alt or alignment. There are no hidden clues in the morning scenes. As soon as the scene is posted any players who have been killed at night will no longer be active players and can no longer post in the thread. The time limit for the new day will begin with the morning scene.

Section 4 - Endgame
The game will continue to alternate between day and night phases until the game ends. The game can end after either a day or night phase.

4.1 - Winning Conditions
The game ends once one faction has reached its winning conditions, which the mods will state in a later post.

Mafia is a team game. Once one faction achieves its winning conditions, all members of that faction have won whether or not they are active players when the winning conditions are achieved.

4.2 - Ending Scene
The mods will post an ending scene and declare the game over shortly after one faction achieves its winning conditions. If for any reason it becomes impossible for either faction to achieve its winning conditions, the mods will declare the game a draw.

The game is only over when a mod posts the ending scene. Even if you know (or believe you know) the result of the game before then, you may not post in the thread unless you are an active player.

4.3 - Calling the Game Early
The mods reserve the right to end the game at any time before a faction achieves its winning conditions provided there are compelling reasons to do so. In general, the mods will end the game early as soon as one faction's victory becomes inevitable.

4.4 - Spoilers
When the game is over, the mods will reveal the alts and roles of everybody who played and also give everyone access to the spoiled spectator threads on the discussion board.
House Targaryen
This, however, is all new, so you should probably at least glance at it.

In this game there are four factions. Everybody playing is either an innocent, a killer, a serial killer or a cultist. You be told your faction in your role PM shortly before the game begins.

If you are an innocent, you will not be told the identity of anybody else on your team and cannot communicate with other players outside the game thread.

If you are a killer, you will be told the identity of everybody else on your team and may communicate with them outside the game thread as long as you are alive. Each night, the killers should (collectively) PM the mods the name of one player they wish to target. Unless that player is protected in some manner, they will be killed that night.

If you are the serial killer, there is nobody else on your team. Every even night, you should PM the mods the name of one player you wish to target. Unless that player is protected in some manner, they will be killed that night. If anybody attempts to kill you at night, they wil always fail.

Initially, there is only one cultist. Every odd night, the cult may send in a (collective) PM naming one player they wish to recruit. If that player is innocent and your attempt is not prevented somehow they will be sucessfully recruited to the cult. Cult members may communicate outside the game thread at all times. If the player the cultists target is a member of the killer faction, they will be killed instead of being converted -- the cultists cannot attempt to covert again until the next odd night, if this happens. If the cultists attempt to recruit the serial killer, the serial killer will either join as a normal cult member (losing the abilities of a serial killer), or nothing will happen at all, depending on the choice of the serial killer themselves. (Each odd night, the serial killer should PM the mods to say whether they would join the cult or not if a conversion attempt was made). If the serial killer refuses to join the cult, their conversion attempt will fail and they cannot attempt to convert again until the next odd night.

A faction wins once every member of every other faction is dead, or nothing can prevent this from happening. If everybody dies, nobody wins, and the game is drawn between the last factions that had living members. If, before everybody dies, it becomes impossible for any faction to achieve its winning conditions, the game will be drawn between all factions that currently have living members.

In addition to your faction, you will be given a special ability. This may give you the power to perform actions at night or during the day, or immunity from actions of those sort. Your ability may also impose restrictions on how you can act in the game thread. In this game, faction and special ability are independent.

In case you aren't sure what that means, allow us to clarify: Your special ability will be assigned to you with no reference to your faction. Players on every faction are just as likely to get any special ability. In fact, at the time of writing this, we don't even know ourselves which faction will get which abilities, and we won't know until just before the game begins. Faction and special ability will be assigned using random.org - one mod will be in charge of working out players' factions, another their abilities. The two mods will not collude while doing this. Any attempts to metagame the mods here will be mocked, and desevedly so. There is no special ability we wouldn't give to the killers, no special ability that simply 'has' to be innocent, no combination of abilities we'd refuse to put on the same faction. In other words ...

In this game, faction and special ability are independent.

When a player is recruited by the cult, they retain whatever special ability they had previously. When the serial killer kills a player at night, they will be told what special ability that player had, and may steal it for themselves if they so wish. When the serial killer steals an ability, it replaces their original ability.

If you're an innocent, you'll have been sent a PM rather like this...
QUOTE
You are an innocent.

That's not to say you didn't do the horrible things you were imprisoned for, of course, but you're not responsible for any of the murders that have been going on recently. You just want to leave Westeros and your past life behind you and start again in the Free Cities ... but before you can do that, you'll have to root out the dissenters.

Check your other PM for your special ability.

If you didn't get this PM ... er, you're evil? In the game, at least. But also, we trust, less likely to be tempted to make hidden references to the text of your faction PM on the thread ...
House Targaryen
Any more questions about the game? Check here...

Q. How long will days last in this game?

The longest the mods will allow a day to last is 30 hours.

Q. How long will nights last in this game?

The longest the mods will allow a night to last is 10 hours.

Q. Will there be a list of everybody playing in the game?

No. Not on this thread. (There will of course be such a list in the spoiler forums).

Q. Will there be a CF? Will alts be revealed on death?

When a player dies (for any reason), the mods will reveal which of the four factions they belonged to.

Alts will not be revealed until the end of the game.

Q. Will you be allowing replacements?

In general, no.

However, we will attempt to replace any player modkilled for inactivty provided that both the following conditions are satisfied:
  • The game has not yet reached night 2.
  • The player modkilled for inactivity had fewer than 6 posts.

Whether or not we replace somebody who meets these criteria will depend only on whether we can find a willing replacement in reasonable time and is not indicative of their faction or role.

Players modkilled for any other reason will not be replaced.

Q. I have another question that the rules above don't cover...

PM House Targaryen. Do not post in this thread.
House Targaryen
Game is now full. PM us if you'd wish to be a possible replacement.

We will start the game soon.
House Targaryen
"Story, story, we want to hear a story!"

A mob of children surrounded the old man, who had been dozing out on the plaza in the afternoon sun.

"Tell us a story Grandfather!" they begged, insistently.

"I don't like 'Grandfather'" grumbled the old man. "So formal. Call me Targaryen."

"We want to hear a story Grandfather Targaryen!" cried the children impatiently.

A tall, serious looking young man standing discreetly a few feet away suppressed a grin, even as 'Targaryen' scowled irritably.

"Oh, it's a story you want, is it?

"Hmm." He frowns, thinking. "Perhaps I could tell you the story of how I met your Grandmother ..."

The young man coughs, delicately. Targaryen glances over at him.

"No?" he asks. "Well, perhaps you're right, Blackfyre. That story can wait till you're all a little older."

"I know! Have I told you the story of my last voyage?"

The children, falling silent, shake their heads.

"It was ... oh, almost forty years ago now. I was the Captain of a fine ship.

"They called her the Cintita. The singers said she was unsinkable, you know. Of course, they said that about all the ships, if you slipped them enough coin.

"But to be fair, she didn't exactly sink in the end...

"We were sailing up the Narrow Sea one year, late in the autumn. 'Twas a dangerous journey, it's true, but we had a special cargo to deliver: our hold was full of prisoners, bound for the Night's Watch. See, in those days, if you'd made the King angry at you, you'd be given a choice - either stay in King's Landing, and maybe have your head snicked off your shoulders, or go north to the Night's Watch. So all these murderers and thieves and criminals had agreed to head North. Still, they weren't too happy about it -- the Wall was a fearsome place, cold and distant -- and so we had to keep 'em locked up on the journey.

"One night, as we were nearing Eastwatch, a big castle by the Wall itself, the ship was beset by a terrible storm! We were swept far off course, and it was all we could do to stay afloat.

"Many brave men died fighting to save that ship." Targaryen sighs.

"Even my loyal First Mate Blackfyre didn't survive the night - a bolt of lightening crashed down through the ship's mizzenmast, and the burning wreckage fell all over him, killing him dead."

The childrens' gazes swing over to Blackfyre: seven foot tall, reasonably solid looking and very much alive.

"Not this Blackfyre, of course!" laughs Targaryen. "No, this was Balor Blackfyre. No relation. Didn't I ever tell you about him? Ah, well, perhaps another time.

"The point is, we all had our hands full dealing with the storm. We didn't know what was going on in the holds; didn't realise that one of the prisoners -- a Braavosi thief, they told me later-- had smuggled a key with him into the cells. The first prisoner escaped just as the storm was reaching its peak -- just as poor Balor was breathing his last, in fact.

"The fighting was fierce after that, but the outcome was never in doubt, I'm afraid. Old Ranger Raymar, who'd come to escort the prisoners, was the bravest fighter on our side. I saw him slice down half a dozen prisoners himself, hardly breaking a sweat. (Of course, you have to learn not to sweat on the Wall -- if you do, it freezes to ice on your skin and you have to peel off your skin to get warm again)."

The children groan in appreciative disgust, and the old man, warming to his theme, continues.

"Yes, the fighting was fierce, but by daybreak, there were just a score of us left alive. Nineteen prisoners, and me, Captain Targaryen. A mob of the prisoners working together had done for Raymar in the end -- they swarmed all over him, and he didn't have the strength to throw them all off before they could stab him in the heart."

"I thought Raymar was stabbed in the back, Uncle?" murmurs Blackfyre innocently.

"Who told y-" the old man glances around suddenly. "Ah. That is, maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. I never got much of a look to be honest.

"Anyway, there were twenty of us... We all declared a truce while we figured out what to do. You see, there were lots of prisoners, and they all had different ideas about what to do with the ship ..."

"Grandfather Targaryen?" asks one little boy, puzzled. "Why didn't the bad men just gang up and kill you, then fight each other later?"

"well, you see..." Targareyn pauses for a moment. "I didn't mention this before, but in my younger days I was quite the fearsome pirate. Oh yes. Of course, I'd reformed by the time of this story, but no doubt the prisoners had heard of me - I had quite the reputation when I was younger.

"Maybe a few of them were tempted to try their strength against mine ... ah, yes. A couple of them came at me with their swords, now that I think about it, but I just grabbed each of them by their belts and threw them overboard! They were tall men - head and shoulders taller than young Blackfyre here - and so they fell into the water with a great splash. As we were way out from the coast by this point, a ferocious shark came and gobbled them up before they could even shout for help! And that was that: nobody doubted that I was in charge after that, believe me."

His audience seem underwhelmed by this plot twist.

"Is this a true story, Grandfather Targaryen?" one of the children asks suspiciously.

"Well..." the old man says, waving a hand airily, "It's mostly true, anyway. Maybe the men weren't quite so tall, and the shark wasn't quite so big ... but those are just details. Don't let them get in the way of a good tale, eh?

"Anyway, we were all stuck on the ship, and somebody had to decide what to do. (I couldn't just kill them all or lock them up again, because I needed them to help me steer the ship, you see). In the end, two prisoners seemed to have the loudest voices, so I let them argue it out.

"Alesander Flowers wanted to turn around, and head back to King's Landing. He wasn't best pleased to have been arrested in the first place, and he kept shouting that he wanted the chance to have his revenge on the people who'd imprisoned him. Flowers was a scary cove -- they said he'd killed more than a few men in his day, and I reckon a few of his gang were with him on the ship.

"Bald Iggo, on the other hand, seemed to have more supporters, though he'd never done more back on land than start a few ill-timed drunken brawls. He reckoned it was madness to head back to the city and risk being captured again. He said we should head for the Free Cities, and try to hide out there.

"The two men couldn't see eye to eye on this at all, and the debate was a long one. Finally, Iggo just growled impatiently, grabbed a bit of mast that was still lying smashed up on the deck, and brought it down with an almighty crash on Flowers' skull."

The old man tapped one of the children on the forehead to demonstrate.

"It's hard to argue when somebody's smashed your head in, if truth be told, so we all agreed Iggo had won the debate.

"And so that was the end of that! We set a course east, for the Free Cities ..."

"The next day, we found Iggo dead in his bunk. His throat had been cut wide open." The old man mimed drawing a finger along his own throat. "As you'd expect, he was quite dead.

"By now there were just eighteen of us left.."

("Sixteen, surely?" one of the children whispered to another. "After the couple he gave the shark to eat?"

"Ssh". She rolls her eyes, her tone superior. "Those are just details, silly.")

"'Look, lads', I said to the prisoners. 'Looks like you didn't all think so highly of Iggo's plan after all. Now, it don't make any difference to me what you plan to do - only I'd rather not sail almost the way there, and then have to sail back again! So I reckon we should lay anchor here while you lot sort things out. Here's what we'll do:

"'Each day, you'll hunt for the killers amongst yourselves. When you think you've found someone sinister, I'll deal with them myself. Once everybody left is in agreement about our course, we'll set sail again.'"

("I think I've heard this story before ..." mutters one of the children.

"No," his friend says, gloomily. "All Grandfather's stories seem to have this bit in ...")

"Anyway." the old man leans back, exhausted. "Let me just have a little nap, and I'll tell you all what happened next..."
House Targaryen
Everybody's been sent their faction and special ability, so the game is ready to begin. Before it does, the mods want to stress the following points:

First of all, we strongly encourage everybody to send in any necessary PMs as quickly and promptly as possible. Remember that you can send in definite (that is, non-provisional) PMs before night falls. Only send in a provisional PM if you're thinking about changing your action. PMs that do not contain the word "Provisional" in the subject header will not be treated as such.

Second, we would like to draw your attention to the alt rules, particularly "all players must not ... #4". Contrary to popular belief, becoming a game mod doesn't make you an imbecile. If we don't want you to say "I suspect him for alt reasons" (and we certainly don't want you to say that), you aren't actually going to fool us by saying "I suspect him for reasons that could kill a squirrel'", or any similar euphemisms. We know what this means, just as all the players do. And we don't want you to do it. Please keep all alt speculation and hints about alt speculation off the thread. Nobody wants the game to be decided by modkills, but if we think we have to modkill people to get them to comply with the rules, we will. Don't try to test us on this.

We also remind players of the more general rules, particularly "all players must ... #5". If you think somebody's an idiot for not listening to your brilliantly argued point, that's super. Keep it to yourself unless you want to irritate the mods though, please. We don't want to be too heavy-handed here, but if you aren't sure if your witty rejoinder is clever or just offensive, it's probably not going to amuse us. And really, we're the only audience that matters.

(Equally, if somebody says something that upsets you, please don't hesitate to PM the mods about it).

Finally, we would like to admit that we are, in fact, only human. We probably haven't thought of every problem or situation that might arise in the game. Therefore, it's possible that we'll have to make ad hoc decisions about how to proceed as the game actually unfolds. And it's quite possible that we'll make decisions you don't agree with.

If we do something you don't think is correct ... well, that's a shame. Don't expect us to change our minds based on any angry posts you make denouncing us in the game thread though. Thanks.

That said ... the game has begun. Post away.
House Marbrand
Targaryen is too busy modding the game to listen to your half-baked theories or paranoid ramblings. Send any thoughts you want posted up in the spoiler forum to me, House Blackfyre, instead.

ETA: Because there was confusion, I want to reitterate that this is a mod account and we would appreciate it if all thoughts are directed to House Blackfyre. Thank you.

Well then. I suppose that it would be a bad Idea to say that we won't function well as a pirate crew if we kill each other off, right? Cmon- who wants to be pirates?

*gets sick over the side of the ship*

Anyone remember to bring dramamine?
Tyres
Sorry, I'm immune to seasickness and motionsickness.
House Reyne
Lousy pirate you'd make otherwise, mate
Tyres
Hey Swann, why does your avatar have more colours than mine? Mine looks the same in greyscale...
frown5.gif
House Reyne
Ironsmith monopolized the colors. My swans just accidentally tread in his yellow.

Avatar envy is an ugly emotion.

And for all of you not seasick, count yourselves lucky frown5.gif

Piratin'? Wi' this lot? Aye, a pretty sight that would be. Bunch o' useless landlubbers, all o' ye.

Dexter
Pirates huh? Well I don't get seasick either.
Ser Dunan the tall
'cause your personal heraldic guy picked some boring black+white thingy. Nothing special, greyscale or no. Not saying mine is better to look at, but at least it has some colour in it.

I don't see why some people dislike free cities, but I for one do not want to return to King's Landing. If it comes for worst, we are labeled traitors from the wall, even though we haven't said no any vow, but these nobles like to see some heads roll.

being pirates would be a nice compromise, if we could get rid of persuade the captain. Espescially as I don't know exactly how to rob/blackmail earn my living there...
Tyres
What!? Landlubbers?! I'll have you know I was... oh right, we aren't allowed to talk about that. Still, I have never been more insulted. If you do not rescind, I may be forced to challenge you to a duel.
House Glover
Sup.

Am I the only person suffering an urge to vote someone (anyone, really) for reasons that would kill a squirrel? It's just so tempting...

Let's see what my avatar looks like.

ETA: Hey, not all that bad. At least it doesn't scar my eyes.
Tyres
Getting rid of, er, persuading the captain shouldn't be hard. He was a pirate after all.
Vance, you have too many different colours. I am unsure if I can countenance such vanity in my crew.

Arr, I've spent me entire life a' sea, rapin' an pillagin' an the like. You be havin' the look o' a wolf's pet. fencing.gif

Well, we could use the reasons that could kill a dragon instead. This way, we get rid of the captain, and as an anarchist (anarchist and anachronism start the same way, for the note, so it's allowed), I'm in favour of getting rid of all authority. The free cities sound good too, especially the free part.
House Reyne
Even if you could "convince" Master Targaryen to return to his most illustrious pirating ways, I'm more for women and beer and dry land. I say this debate needs settled.
Tyres
My rapier will pierce your heart!

(Weren't we not supposed to mention what we did to get tossed into the Night's Watch anyhow? Or is that a sort of non-rule that Targ tossed in for fun?)

Harte, you sound like one of those dirty hippies that refuse to carry their own weight. A pirate ship is a tight ship ser, and nothing is more enjoyable then spending out hard won booty on, well, booty.

But I didn't break any rule, I said I was an anarchist but for all you know, I can have been sent to the NightWatch for any other reason wink.gif

No, dear, first of all I'm very clean (as much as you can be on such a ship: I take my salted water shower every morning), and second with the food we get here, I don't have a lot of weight to carry.

There's plenty of women and beer at sea too, you know, so long as you take a few stops to restock on women and beer every now and then. Dry land's overrated. It's the land that's got all them stupid laws that brought us down in the first place.

He didn't deny being a hippie! We cannot have any stinkin hippies on my ship, no we can't! Harte, you will renounce your hippie-dom or your heart will be the next target for my rapier!

I am not terribly confidant in your expression of ignorance, Harte, but your denouncement of hippies will have to do for now. However, if I ever catch you acting like a hippie again, well...

Not an hour and two men are already on Harte? Although not so different from prison life, too bad all my cigarettes have been lost in the water, or I'd be buying a little time for Harte to "relax".

Not stinkin'? We went from a dungeon into the hold of a ship, I highly doubt any of us are fresh as spring lilies just now. And besides, hippies don't only have horses, but they hug trees.

On a more game related note, this game started at a bad time for me and very shortly I will be leaving for 10 hours, then I will be back for one hour and then gone for another 8. So I do apologize for not being able to post much, it's normally not like this and I'll be around much more the rest of the game.

But seriously guys. Every time someone makes a pun, I will a kick a puppy. Think of the puppies!

ETA: Or cats, I suppose, if you've read RSURS.
Tyres
Yeah, same here kettles. I'll be leaving for 9 hours in less than an hour, back for 3 or so, gone for 8, back for 20 mins, gone for 9 and thennot so bad after that. Day 1 is going to involve me minimally though, unfortunately.
